Uniting NSW.ACT is the social-services arm of the Uniting Church across the two jurisdictions and one of the largest aged-care operators in NSW. Wesley Heights in Manly is its northern-beaches flagship, a 120-bed home that splits broadly between 60 dedicated high-care beds and 60 general residential places, with 24-hour registered-nurse cover across both wings. The Comfort Living rooms on Level 7 carry the highest RAD in the home at $719,000, while shared, no-ensuite rooms start at $332,000, an unusually wide span that makes Wesley Heights one of the few Sydney premium-area homes that genuinely accommodates lower-bond residents alongside families paying full RADs. The basic daily fee is the regulated $66.80. The ACQSC awarded the home an Excellent (5-star) overall rating in October 2025, putting it in the top quartile of NSW providers and the top tier on the northern beaches. Considerations: the 120-bed scale is larger than the boutique Hunters Hill or Manly competitors and feels closer to a hospital floor than a cottage in the higher-care wing, particularly on the lower levels. Shared, no-ensuite rooms still exist in the entry-level price band, which families paying mid-tier RADs should ask to inspect rather than assume; they are bookable from $332,000 but the experience differs sharply from the Level 7 Comfort Living rooms. Manly parking and access during summer can be a friction for visiting families, and the Spit Bridge bottleneck adds material time from the lower north shore. The Uniting brand is broadly Christian but not denominationally evangelical, with chapel services and pastoral-care staff but no daily mass requirement, and the community is religiously inclusive in practice. Wesley Heights is one of the few northern-beaches homes that combines genuine high-care infrastructure with an entry-level RAD band low enough to be reachable for families without significant home equity. Best fit for northern-beaches families wanting a high-rated, large home with both genuine high-care infrastructure and a meaningful entry-level price point.
